Collin Baska

Collin grew up in Eagan, Minnesota and now resides in Lake City, Minnesota with his wife, Rachel, and their two children, Hazel and Hudson.  They enjoy life on their hobby farm, where they care for horses and dogs and spend time outdoors as a family.  Collin graduated from Winona State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Human Resource Management.  Prior to joining Excel Financial in August of 2025, he spent more than 10 years in Human Resources, gaining firsthand experience working with employer retirement plans and understanding the importance of helping employees prepare for retirement.  Collin and Rachel have been clients with Excel Financial since 2022.  Today, Collin specializes in employer retirement plans and works closely with businesses to help them provide meaningful retirement benefits for their employees.  He has furthered his professional education by earning both the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor™ (CRPC®) and SHRM Senior Certified Professional® (SHRM-SCP) designations.  Outside of work, Collin enjoys playing guitar at his church and local community events, and can often be found on the slow-pitch softball field during the summer.
